Understanding Your Spam Quarantine

When SpamExperts detects a message that looks like spam, it doesn't delete it. Instead, it places it in quarantine — a holding area where you can review it and decide whether it's legitimate.

How Long Are Messages Kept?

Quarantined messages are kept for approximately 14–28 days. After this period, they are automatically deleted and cannot be recovered.

How Do I Know If I Have Quarantined Messages?

You will receive a Quarantine Report (spam digest) by email, usually once a day. This lists all messages that have been quarantined since your last report, with options to release them directly from the email.

You can also log in to the SpamExperts portal at any time to check your quarantine.

What Should I Do?

  • Review the sender and subject of quarantined messages
  • If a message is legitimate — release it (see "How to Release a Quarantined Message")
  • If a message is spam — leave it alone; it will be automatically deleted
  • If a sender keeps getting quarantined — add them to your whitelist (see "How to Whitelist a Sender")
